Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving eventually evolved together in the Brooklyn Nets uniform.

The two joined forces in their team’s pre-season game on Sunday, which ended in a 119-114 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Durant was sidelined last season as he recovered from an injury sustained in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors while playing for the Golden State Warriors.

KD showed encouraging signs with 15 points in 24 minutes of play. He also had three rebounds and as many assists.

His teammate who missed the end of the last Nets season, Irving, recorded 18 points in as many minutes on the field.

Both men will try to transport the Nets this season, as they report to their new head coach, Steve Nash.

For the Wizards, Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal were not used by their coach for this game.

Earlier today, Quebecker Karim Mané was not used in the Orlando Magic’s 116-107 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Other results:

Knicks 91, Pistons 99

NYK: Canadian RJ Barrett scored 25 points
DET: Sekou Doumbouya finished with 23 points on the clock
