Michael Jordan’s career was extremely successful, with dozens of shattered records and spectacular performances. Even in his third and final stage in the NBA, Mike gave us great nights in the Wizards uniform, one of them to close the year 2001 with a golden clasp, one of the most difficult for the US on December 29, 2001, the Wizards played their penultimate game of the year against the Charlotte Bobcats and Michael Jordan excelled by scoring 51 points.

Mike got off to a sweeping start scoring 24 of the 29 points the Wizards had in the first quarter. It was 38 minutes for a 38-year-old veteran who seemed to be living his third wind in the NBA. A couple of nights later, when the Wizards hosted the Nets from Jason Kidd, Mike gave us another spectacular performance by scoring 45 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in the Wizards’ 98-76 win.

This pair of stories reaffirms the legend of Michael Jordan, a player out of series that even in his return season with the Wizards, at 38, Mike averaged 22.9 points, 5.2 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game.
