Jürgen Klopp could do without nine Liverpool stars when the wolves meet

Liverpool have received another injury damage with goalkeeper Alisson Becker will get out of the game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson missed his Champions League group stage match against Ajax last night in Anfield and Jürgen Klopp expects to miss the game with the Wolves too.

Klopp said: “He told us after the game (against Brighton) that in the 60th, 70th minute of the last game he felt his Achilles tendon. [We] did a scan, it’s a small one but enough for today and probably for another week.

“We don’t know for sure, we have to wait, and I’ve never heard of an Achilles tendon that only lasts four or five days so I think 10-14 days.”

Klopp saw too James Milner He hobbled with a hamstring injury at the Brighton weekend Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita have suffered muscle injuries themselves in the past few weeks.

midfield player Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be absent on Sunday but captain Jordan Henderson recently returned from an injury sustained on international duty with England.

Key defense duo Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez Klopp is long-term absent, Joel Matip and midfielder Fabinho currently represent the central defender.

Xherdan Shaqiri was also missing for the Reds because of a muscle injury that he sustained in international service with Switzerland.

The wolves will travel to Anfield at the late kick-off on Sunday and hope that Romain Saiss, who tested positive for coronavirus on international service a few weeks ago, can return to the group.

Jonny Castro Otto (knee) is long-term absent for Wolves and Raul Jimenez will miss his first game since the skull fracture on Sunday.
