After attempts by Yuma Suzuki and Facundo Colidio, the Canaries found the loophole in the Rats’ defense shortly before half-time. A corner kick played in two stages allowed Colidio to send a perfect cross on the head of Suzuki, who closely deceived Mike Vanhamel, already scoring the 8th goal of his season (1-0, 42nd).
Very discreet in the first act, the Beerschot, still deprived of Tarik Tissoudali, could have equalized shortly before the hour mark but Raphael Holzhauser took too much away from his recovery with his right foot (59th).
