Two months ago, Chelsea surprised with the announcement that Petr Cech had been entered on the Premier League club’s player list.
Cech is a club legend at Stamford Bridge. He stood between the posts for almost 500 games, but moved to Arsenal after the arrival of Thibaut Courtois.
A year and a half ago, he ended his career at the London rival and Cech returned to the blue shirts for a role as a consultant.
But that range of duties appears to be more extensive than expected. At the end of October, Chelsea announced that Cech had been entered on the player list “as a precautionary measure” and tonight the goalkeeper is actually about to return. In a match of the U21 against Tottenham, of course.
