(CNN Español) — This Tuesday, the Real Madrid Futbol Club reported through a statement that the exporter Iker Casillas joins the Real Madrid Foundation as deputy to the general director.
“Iker Casillas is a Real Madrid legend, he represents the values of our club and is the best goalkeeper in our history,” the club added in the statement.
Casillas, won 19 titles with Real Madrid during 25 years of professional career with the Merengue club, including 3 Champions Leagues, 3 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups and 5 Spanish Leagues.

With the Spanish soccer team, Casillas took to the field to defend La Roja on 167 occasions, winning a FIFA World Cup in South Africa 2010 and two European Cups.
