Paul George, a Clippers player at the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) club, has expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of former head coach Dock Rivers, according to the New York Post.

It has already been reported that after the unsuccessful season, in which the Clippers sowed a 3-1 lead in the second round of the play-off and lost to the Denver Nuggets with 3-4, the head coach of the unit, Dock Rivers, was fired. Tyron Lou was his assistant before, but now he takes the place of Rivers.

“Dock wanted me to play as Ray Allen or Jonathan Reddick to make executive throws after rolling out of the bottom of the basket,” George said. “I can do it, but it’s not my game. I need a different game, I need different pick-and-roll games and get the ball back to the basket. ”

Kevin O’Conor, a journalist for The Ringer, said that George Rivers played a lot of pick-and-roll, or, to be exact, 33% of mock-ups, the best in his career.

NBA watchers and analysts also believe that George should have known that he would play with Lenard, who would dominate the ball. The basketball player had to take that into accountwhen he chose to leave Oklahoma City in the off-season and join Lenard.

At the beginning of last season, George missed several matches due to a shoulder injury. Before the end of the season, he played 48 regular tournament games in the Los Angeles team, averaging 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists. In 13 “play-off” fights he had 20.2 points, 6.1 balls under the baskets and 3.8 assists.

The Los Angeles team diverted from five first-round drafts (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026) and 32-year-old Italian striker Danilo Galinari in an impressive deal to win George from Oklahoma City’s Thunder last season. and 22-year-old match manager Shey Guildes Alexander, who is currently one of Thunder’s leading players.

With regard to the Clippers, it is emphasized that this team is in a “now or never” situation. If the team with George and Kavai Lenard fails to win the championship next season, its future in the coming years is likely to be very bleak, given that so many draft choices have changed. George and Lenard can become free agents after next or next season.
