Football: an unlikely failure from Chile

Coquimbo Unido is definitely going through some complicated times at the end of the year. Not only are the “Pirates” second to last in the Primera Division (Chilean 1st Division), but they are also playing bad luck.

Facing O’Higgins, Coquimbo was beaten 0-3 on his lawn and thus went on to a fourth game without a win in the league. With the score 0-1 for O’Higgins, Lautaro Palacios could have turned the game around with a golden opportunity to equalize just after half-time.

Unfortunately for him, his shot found… the two posts of goalkeeper Augusto Batalla. A few minutes later, O’Higgins hit the net twice, putting an end to the suspense and inflicting Coquimbo his twelfth loss in 23 games played this season.
