Félix Pastor, first ribero to hold the seventh dan – Sports – PLAZA NUEVA

On December 19, Félix J. Pastor was awarded the 7th Dan of Judo, becoming the first ribero and from Tudela to show it off.

This merit is the recognition of a professional career of more than 30 years in the world of Judo / teaching. He also belongs to the Assembly of the Navarra Judo Federation, being the Vice President, Member of the National Assembly of RFEJYDA, serving as the National Court of Degrees for almost two decades.

Maestro Félix J. Pastor thanks the President of the Navarra Judo Federation, Josetxo Areta, for proposing him to the RFEJYDA to get this award.

Félix began his Judo career at the age of 12, being just a child, he did not expect to get where he is today since, at only 24 years old, he went to Seville to obtain the title of Judo Monitor, leading the classes of the Tudela Shogun Gymnasium, thanks to the trust placed by its owner Mr. Raúl Delgado, with a total of 60 students beginning at the beginning.

Involved in this sport with his students, he obtained the Title of Coach in 1995 and National Master in 1997. In addition to the titles of Monitor, Coach and Master of Personal Defense.

His career is on the rise and he becomes Technical Director of the Navarra Judo Federation (2003-2012), forming a good team with its President Josetxo Areta and the Director of Training, Mr. Eduardo Marco, modernizing and establishing new classification rules and organization. Despite the harshness of the changes, fair and equal treatment is achieved for all judokas in competitions and grade changes, according to their time and professional career.

In 2008 he became a member of the National Assembly of RFEJYDA, in the Estamento of clubs and became Vice President of the FNJ who has been in office since 2012 and this year has been renewed again for another 4 years after the trust placed by Josetxo at.

In his not stopping and wanting the Ribera to have its importance in Judo Navarro, he began to bring technical courses, high performance, kata courses, training with national and foreign teams to the Shogun Gymnasium.

He is recognized for his work by the Government of Navarra, obtaining the Silver Medal for Own Merits in 2016 and from the Tudela City Council as Best Sports Director (2017).

Another of the most important awards is the GOLD medal for Own Merits, received at the COE from the hands of its president, Alejandro Blanco.
