The Spanish record champion Real Madrid is apparently in pole position in courting for David Alaba, who is only under contract with the Champions League winner Bayern Munich until June 30, 2021.
This is reported by the English sports portal The Athletic. As a result, Los Blancos are ready to meet Alaba’s salary expectations – in contrast to other top international clubs such as Manchester United, which are also said to be interested in the Austrian. In the room is a weekly salary of 200,000 euros – net.
Alaba may officially negotiate with other associations from January 1st. In addition to Real and United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus Turin are also traded as possible buyers. According to matching media reports, Madrid is the 28-year-old’s favorite destination.

A stay in Munich, however, is almost impossible. “We rolled out the red carpet for David Alaba and went to our limits,” said board member Oliver Kahn during the week of the Sports picture. “David and especially his advisor Pini Zahavi didn’t walk this red carpet. The designated successor to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge therefore does not assume that there will be new negotiations. “At the moment I don’t see how that should happen. David has been with FC Bayern for twelve years, ten of them as a professional,” said the 51-year-old. “It looks like he’s reorienting himself. We have to accept that.”
