DK Metcalf fined by NFL for drenching camera after touchdown

The Seahawks played a tougher-than-expected game against the unnamed Washington team on Sunday, but victory was on the cards and the team qualified for the NFL playoffs.

As for star receiver DK Metcalf, he’s continuing his dominant season even though he’s no longer at the top of the NFL in yards. With 1,223 yards after 14 games, Metcalf is 4th in yards behind Travis Kelce, Stefon Diggs and new NFL point guard DeAndre Hopkins of the Cards.

Before the game against Washington, however, Metcalf received bad news and a bill from the NFL for a trivial gesture the week before.

Metcalf and the expensive camera

In the one-sided game against the Jets, Metcalf scored a touchdown after a Russell Wilson pass and jumped into the stands to play with one of the cameras on the broadcast.

We have fun, everyone found it funny even if the images captured by Metcalf gave a little sickness to the heart.

But do you know why the NFL is called the “No Fun League”? Because this festive celebration, in the eyes of the league, is not allowed and it comes with an invoice for the offender.

Indeed, it is forbidden to use an accessory in the celebrations after a touchdown. This is to avoid spreads like when a player had hidden a phone on the field.

In the eyes of the NFL, the broadcaster’s camera is an accessory and the decision is final: Metcalf will be impoverished by more than $ 6,000.

Seriously NFL, let’s let the players have a little fun. Seems that in 2020, we really need to have fun.
