The continental hockey league (KHL) team of Riga “Dinamo” will meet the guests of Cherepovets “Severstal” today.
The games between the two teams in Cherepovets will start at 18:00 Latvian time, broadcast live on the channel “TV3 Sport2”.
Two days ago, “Dinamo” celebrated an unexpected victory over the St. Petersburg SKA with 4: 3 “bulls” in the guests, ending the series of five lost games.
Cherepovets’ “Severstal”, on the other hand, stopped the series of three lost matches on December 4, beating Riga’s “Dinamo” in Riga with a 4: 3 extension.
It has been the only mutual match of this season, but last season the Russian club won three times and only once – “Dinamo”.
The most productive hockey players of the Riga club are Lauris Dārziņš with 16 (4 + 12) points in 23 matches, Miks Indrašis with 15 (8 + 7) points in 21 matches and Deniss Paršins, who has scored 13 (5 + 8) points in 19 games. The leader of the opponents’ attack is Aleksandrs Petunins with 23 (11 + 12) points in 33 fights.
In total, in the KHL championship, both clubs have met 29 times, in 12 cases the Rigans are superior.
An extra intrigue for Wednesday’s match is given by the exchange of attackers of both teams. Severstal fired Robert Buchart on Friday, but Dinamo agreed to work with him on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Cherepovets club watched Mitchel from three of the attackers included in the draft of the refusal a week ago – Zeka Mitchell, Konstantin Komarek and Meta White.
While Bucharest is already in the team’s application, Michel, whose Severstal strap already in the summer, is not in the application yet and will probably not play on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, “Dinamo” announced that Komareks and White have already left the club.
Pēteris Skudra has taken three goalkeepers, ten defenders and 14 attackers for two away games, including the injured Gennady Stolarov.

Dinamo “with 15 points in 32 matches is still in the last place in the league, while” Severstal “with 36 points in 33 battles in the Western zone is sixth.
Last season, Dinamo took the penultimate place in the Western Conference and in the entire league, not qualifying for the Gagarin Cup for the sixth year in a row.
