Stan Wawrinka’s current coach, Daniel Vallverdu, gave an interview to Sky Sport to analyze how his pupil is doing after a somewhat atypical season due to the coronavirus. Vallverdu recognizes that he sees Wawrinka very motivated and eager to finish his sports career at a high level.
-Wawrinka’s year in 2020 has been good but with a lot of room for improvement:

-Objectives set for 2021:
“The hunger to achieve important things is still there. Stan wants to give one last push in the final stretch of his tennis career. The goals are not just to win tournaments, but to feel competitive playing at a high level and standing up against the best. It would be unrealistic if I said that winning a Grand Slam is his top priority. Of course it can happen, but it’s not credible. Still, I think Wawrinka has the experience and potential to fight for a big title again. “
-The future of world tennis is in good hands with the emergence of players of the stature of Jannik Sinner, Dominic Thiem, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev:
