Bsquet Girona signs the islands Kri Jnsson

Kári Jónsson (Reykjavik, 1997) is a new player in the first team of Bàsquet Girona. The Icelandic international arrives in Girona due to the injury of Álex Llorca, who will be out for two months after an operation.

Jónsson comes from the Haukar of the Icelandic first division, where he has developed most of his career in three stages (2013-16, 2017-18 and 2019-20). He also has experience in the NCAA (Drexel, 2016-17) and in the LEB Or (Barça B, 2018-19). The player has been international with his selection in all categories and has been playing with the absolute since 2018.

Bàsquet Girona, on the other hand, returns to league competition tomorrow after a one-week hiatus due to international commitments. The rival will be Murcia, in Fontajau (19.30), where Carles Marco’s team has not yet won. “We have to try to set ourselves challenges to improve things that we are doing wrong and that this succession of challenges will lead us to play a good game and get the first victory at home,” the coach explained this morning at the previous press conference.
