Currency in connection with the transfer of Anthony Davis to the Lakers, Brandon Ingram returned to the long negotiations that preceded the latter, and the impact they had on his young teammates.

Would this transfer fall under the category of win-win deals? A priori, there are many elements for it to appear there. Eager to leave New Orleans to win a title, Anthony Davis won the case during the summer of 2019. His arrival at the Lakers thus allowed the franchise to be crowned champion a few months later.

At the same time, the young core angelino, so dear to the fans but in delicacy on the floors, has found a welcoming land conducive to his development. In the heart of Louisiana, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram keep improving, as evidenced by the MIP title won by the All-Star winger last season.

The latter seems more than ever to be delighted to have left Los Angeles, and his constant pressure which suffocated him. On the sidelines of these revelations about his Purple & Gold period, made in JJ Redick’s podcast, BI also returned to the long soap opera that preceded this famous trade. The opportunity to reveal the repercussions it may have had on its partners.

I know other guys around me have really suffered from this every day. When you wake up and immediately see your name all over Twitter like that… Knowing that the guys around me love Twitter. They love to do research, type in their name to see what’s being said about them and all that.

Not really a fan of social networks, Ingram suggests that all the noise that surrounded him for many months had no negative effects on him. On the other hand, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and even Kyle Kuzma, much more addicted to platforms of the genre, would have had a hard time putting these rumors aside.

Barely 20 years old, the 4 former acolytes had to play in this context so heavy and threatening, and try to qualify for the playoffs in the absence of LeBron James. Unable to do so, three of them ultimately paid the price, and had to pack their bags to make way for the Unibrow. Not sure that a single one today regrets this outcome.

Immersed in spite of themselves in transfer rumors around a league superstar, the young hopes of the Lakers suffered before knowing their fate. This does not prove to be so terrible afterwards.
