The fast-forward group phase is followed by the draw for the next round. Two German teams are still in the race in the Europa League – and they were lucky.
With Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim two German teams are in the Europa League intermediate round. Both teams can be satisfied with their lots.
For Bayer Leverkusen, the opponent is BSC Young Boys. Against the Swiss champions, coach Peter Bosz’s Werkself are favorites. Another favorite is TSG Hoffenheim, which is up against one of the lesser-known clubs. Because Molde FK is not a permanent guest in Europe. The club, where Erling Haaland played from 2017 to 2019, exceeded expectations in the Arsenal group.
