Basketball and badminton, heads and tails of the Huelva sport in 2020

The 2020 that is now ending will be a sad memory for Recreativo IES La Orden, since the Covid-19 pandemic not only deprived it of being able to add its possible seventh league title, when the competition was declared suspended and there was no official winner, Rather, a formal defect in the presentation of the documentation for the new season led to its administrative decline and a strong blow for Huelva and Spanish badminton, since IES La Orden is together with CB Rinconada, the best Spanish badminton club for honors.

This season, the club is fighting on the court to regain a place that it should never have lost in the offices. In fact, on the 20th, both IES La Orden and Colombino La Orden, both teams from the same entity, have entered the semifinals of the Second National Division. And the objective is clear to return to the top flight and fight for the title very soon.

But not all teams have fared badly in this strange year 2020 for the sports world. In Huelva basketball, this year it is leaving very good feelings and above all it is recovering the love for the sport of the basket, which has been asleep for years, especially due to the disappearance of CB Conquero in the Women’s League and the lack of winning projects in men’s basketball.

This season could be one of success in the EBA League, since both CDB Enrique Benítez and the promoted Ciudad de Huelva are having a spectacular season. They are both fighting for promotion and there could be great joy in 2021.
