Basaksehir left the pitch due to alleged racism

Basaksehiru footballers due to the alleged racist behavior of the fourth referee in the Champions League match at Paris St. Germain left the field. The match of the sixth round of group H was interrupted at 0-0 after a quarter of an hour of play.

Basaksehir’s assistant coach Pierre Webó received a red card from Romanian referee Ovidio Hategan. According to the guests’ bench, substitute judge Sebastian Coltesco then described the former Cameroonian representative as “negro”.

After 15 minutes, the referee had no doubts and he gave a penalty in favor of Demba Ba. The guests then went to the locker room en masse to protest, and the PSG players followed.

According to the head of Basaksehir, the Turkish team will not start playing again if the referee remains on the field accused of racism.
