ATP> Federer on his confinement: “I spoke a lot with Rafa Nadal”

Arrived in Dubai a few hours ago where he must train to test his knee for the Australian Open which will start on February 8, Roger Federer gave an interview to the Swiss magazine Schweizer Illustrierte. The Swiss inevitably evoked the period of confinement where he admitted to having exchanged a lot with his great rival Rafael Nadal.

“I spoke a lot with Rafa Nadal. Because we are part of the players council, we had to keep talking to each other: what is best for the sport? How can we move it forward? We also spoke on the phone during the harsh lockout in Spain. And he asked me how I was after the operation. At first I was happy to stay longer in Switzerland, but at one point, we realized that we missed our friends, those in London, New York or Paris. Our life is also spent on tour, and we missed it ”, said a Roger obviously eager to get back to the classic pace of the professional circuit.
