Arsenal transfer recap: Gunners target Brighton ace, Lucas Torreira future prediction

Arsenal’s poor start to the season adds to the need to add new faces when the opportunity arises.

Mikel Arteta has overseen the worst Premier League start to the season in the club’s history.

that despite hiring several players over the summer, but he didn’t tick all the boxes on his shortlist.

The Spaniard remains keen to sign a creative midfielder whose lack of goals becomes a real problem.

Arsenal languish in the lower half and look forward to another season outside of the Champions League.

That could make recruiting so much more difficult if they keep an eye on elite players.

Here are the latest transfer rumors surrounding the Gunners.

Yves Bissouma has piqued the interest of several clubs

Arsenal and Liverpool are eyeing Bissouma

Brighton’s Yves Bissouma is on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool, according to TalkSport.

The midfielder has played in all his team’s games this season and continues to impress.

Arteta is a big fan of the Malian national player, who has a contract with Amex until 2023.

But Arsenal may have to fend off competition from the Reds, who see Bissouma as a replacement for the potentially outgoing Georginio Wijnaldum.

Lucas Torreira spends the year at Atletico

Torreira supported a great future

Lucas Torreira is a “great player” with a future for Arsenal despite being on loan, according to Gilberto Silva.

The Uruguayan moved to the Emirates in 2018 but was sent away for the year after two years and two managers.

Atletico Madrid enjoy Torreira’s service but he has been supported to return to north London and do well.

Gilberto told Ladbrokes: “I think Torreira had a good start to his career at Arsenal.

“He played some really good games, but last season he played some less than good games and got dumped on the bench.

“At some point, the players will believe that they no longer have a chance on a team – especially when a new manager is added.

“But Torreira definitely has quality. He’s a great player. “

Gunners slammed into Giroud transmission errors

Joe Cole beat up Arsenal for allowing Olivier Giroud to join London rivals Chelsea.

The Frenchman traveled from the north of the capital to the west in January 2018 after more than five years in the Emirates.

He scored four goals in Chelsea’s Champions League win on Wednesday and the former Blues has challenged the Emirates hierarchy.

Cole told Coral, “The whole structure at Arsenal is completely wrong at the moment. Who gave Giroud the chance to go to Chelsea is amazing.

“The problem is with Arteta. It is easier for them to say that we are doing the right thing. Let’s get rid of Arteta and hire a new manager.

“When was the last time Arsenal signed a majority of the players who everyone said it made sense?
