EThe Estonian power forward of Urbas Fuenlabrada Siim-Sander Vene will be out for a month and a half due to a grade III sprain in his right ankle with bone edema suffered in training on Tuesday, according to the Fuenlabreo club.
A new setback for the Baltic interior, which already had to miss four games due to another bone edema in the same area and was recovering sensations, although irregularly. This season he averages 6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 21 minutes on the court during the twelve games he has played.
The absence of Vene further complicates the internal situation of Fuenlabrada, which suffered almost simultaneously the injury of Osas Ehigiator and the departure of Serbian Oliver Stevic to Herbalife Gran Canaria.
The Madrid team incorporated Canadian Kyle Alexander, who is performing well despite being his debut in European basketball, but is still looking for an experienced inside player who can shore up that area, something that is made even more necessary with the Vene’s absence.
The reinforcement, in principle, will not arrive before the game against Bara next Sunday the 3rd at Fernando Martn, with which coach Javier Jurez will have to cover the position of ‘4’ with the Congolese Christian Eyenga and with some other player who moves from his usual position to help him in a duel in which they will face one of the stars of the championship: Nikola Mirotic.
