About 200,000 viewers on average for each match on the L’Équipe Channel

Back in clear on television and on the Internet, the Jeep Elite is recording good audiences at the start of the season. In his interview for La Voix Du Nord, Jérôme Saporito, director of the L’Équipe Channel, indicates that an average of 200,000 spectators even attend the meetings of the French basketball elite. Even more, he points to a peak of 400,000 spectators for certain match nights, such as during the meeting between Cholet and Dijon. In his interview with the northern daily, Saporito affirms his desire to democratize basketball in France:

“It’s been thirty years since this sport was visible in clear on a regular basis. We have the same interest, the League and us, to make basketball available to the wider world.”

These figures are fully satisfactory, despite a challenge which is all the more taken up by the fact that the health situation is difficult to manage:

“This year is complex, you have to be agile, we are in the construction phase but the first indications are good. It is rather good news. We are very happy, we had no idea how much it could do. Limoges -Bourg Saturday, it was still more than 200,000. ”

The next French basketball match broadcast on L’Équipe will be the LFB poster between Basket Landes and Bourges (Saturday January 9, 4:45 p.m.).
