Abhimanyu has a three year contract with Johor Darul Tazim

Jakarta

Syahrian Abimanyu was officially recruited by the Malaysian club, Johor Darul Tazim. He was contracted for three years.

The news that Abhimanyu was recruited by JDT started from social media @OfficialJohor. In his upload, Abhimanyu unfurled a scarf with the words Johor Darul Tazim written at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

Incidentally, he is also in the middle of the SEA Games U-23 2021 Hanoi training camp. The director of Madura United, Haruna Soemitro of the Abhimanyu club, confirmed this information.

“It’s all clear. The contract expired since December 9 yesterday,” said Haruna to detikSport, Wednesday (23/12/2020).

According to Haruna, initially Madura United wanted to extend the 21-year-old player’s contract but due to the unclear competition, there was no reason to hold the player.

“We want to extend the contract, it is not clear when the competition will start, so there is no clause to be able to hold all current players whose contracts have expired including Abhimanyu,” he said.

Meanwhile, the father of Syahrian Abimanyu, Rasiman, who is also the assistant coach of Madura United, welcomed Abhimanyu’s move positively.

“For Abi himself, JDT gave him a three-year contract. Hopefully this will be a valuable experience for Abi in itself,” Rasiman told reporters separately.

He then hoped that Abhimanyu could show his best performance.

“My message is only three to Abi, while joining JDT, Abi must be disciplined, work hard and be consistent. I think these three things will be the key to Abi while playing there,” said Rasiman.

“Apart from that, JDT also really urged Abi to be able to do this. I am sure Abi can do that.”

Prior to joining JDT, Syahrian Abimanyu was a Sriwijaya FC and Madura United player. Together with Laskar Sape Kerrab, he played 20 matches. From this appearance, he managed to score one goal and five assists.
