A variation of the Mouratoglou Academy in Dubai

At the very beginning, a quarter of a century ago, Patrick Mouratoglou launched his tennis academy in Seine-Saint-Denis, in Montreuil, by partnering with the famous Australian coach Bob Brett. Then he migrated to Yvelines, Thiverval, before coming to settle in Sophia Antipolis, in the Alpes Maritimes, where he has had 34 tennis courts for four years.

From now on, it is also in the United Arab Emirates that the trainer of Serena Williams is developing his concept. In Dubai, more precisely. But this is not a training center. Here is what Patrick Mouratoglou specifies in a press release announcing the opening of the Center, on December 15, in the Jumeirah complex, where Roger Federer, among others, has very often prepared: ” We are more than ready to take a further step to share our passion and our expertise beyond our borders. This “Mouratoglou Tennis Center Jumeirah” is the first of many to come. I can’t think of a better place to bring a new dimension to the Mouratoglou brand. “

Bianca Andreescu among the first

There are indeed few “spots” as favorable as Dubai for tennis champions. In addition to the climatic conditions which offer the possibility of playing outside all year round, there is this geographical position which allows to be within plane reach of all the essential appointments of the circuit. They were already very numerous to prepare their season there or to have a drop-off point.

This is also one of the objectives of this new “Tennis Center”: “Welcome professionals between tournaments”. For this month of December 2020, the presences of Bianca Andreescu, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Kristina Mladenovic and Fiona Ferro are announced.
