In October, Sam Querrey I was disputing the ATP 500 St. Petersburg. His Covid-19 test came back positive and instead of staying in Russia to quarantine, he escaped on a private jet.
Before the end of the year, the ATP announced the sanction for Querrey: a fine of 20 thousand dollars. Although due to the good conduct of the American in his career, the fine is suspended if Querrey does not break health and safety protocols related to Covid-19 during the next six months.
Querrey has five days to appeal the ATP sanction.
