The Mexican Basketball National Team will begin its participation in the second FIBA window for the AmeriCup 2021 qualifier, where it will seek its pass to the Olympic games. After the Mexican basketball team started with a victory and a loss against the Bahamas at the beginning of the year, it is their turn to face the teams of Puerto Rico and the United States as a visitor.

Currently the Mexican basketball team has one victory and one defeat in the qualifier, which places it in third place in group D. Puerto Rico has two defeats, so the loser of this game could define its classification at the next round. These games will be held in bubble format in Indianapolis, United States.
