KOMPAS.com – The world champion of Formula 1 aka F1 this season, Lewis Hamilton, revealed that he had negotiated several times with Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton sealed the 2020 F1 world title after winning the Turkish Grand Prix at the weekend.
Now, the Mercedes mainstay racer has collected seven world titles in F1 racing.
Lewis Hamilton’s brilliant appearance also made Mercedes not hesitate to grant a contract extension.
At Mercedes, Hamilton’s contract will expire at the end of this year.
Lewis Hamilton has not signed a new contract so far.

However, both Hamilton and Mercedes have confirmed that the 35-year-old racer will survive next season.
Towards the end of his contract at Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton also revealed rumors that he was going to move to Ferrari.
At the end of last year, Lewis Hamilton was rumored to be moving to Ferrari to replace Sebastian Vettel, who will leave at the end of the Formula 1 competition, aka F1 2020.
However, these rumors are not proven because Ferrari decided to recruit Carlos Sainz Jr from McLaren next season to become a partner for Charles Leclerc.
Even so, Lewis Hamilton said that he had discussed with Ferrari about the possibility of moving.

“My position and Ferrari never fit. In my opinion, timing is always important, and everything happens for a reason,” he explained.
One of the reasons that Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari never reached common ground was because Hamilton’s contract period was different from the majority of other F1 drivers.
