This Chelsea defender missed the Italian League

Jakarta

Chelsea left back, Emerson Palmieri, admitted that he missed playing in the Italian League. So far there are several clubs that are eyeing him.

Emerson Palmieri left AS Roma for Chelsea in January 2018. He was carried off when the Blues were coached by Antonio Conte. Overall, he did not have much playing time at Chelsea. He has only recorded 59 matches so far.

Although he has not been able to perform regularly at Chelsea, Emerson Palmieri is still the target of several top Italian clubs. Juventus and Inter Milan have so far been the two teams linked with the 26-year-old.

The biggest opportunity seems to be at Inter. Emerson Palmieri could meet Antonio Conte again if he moved to Giuseppe Meazza.

This means that Emerson Palmieri’s chances of returning to the Italian League are very big. He could leave Chelsea at the end of this season, especially since his contract will expire in June 2022.

“I have received interest, not only from Italy and nothing concrete yet, but clearly I miss Serie A and want to come back,” said the Brazilian-born defender, quoted by Football Italia.

“I don’t know if it will happen in January or in five years. Things change so fast in football,” he said.

Emerson Palmieri had his best career with AS Roma in 2016/2017. He was able to make 36 appearances and at that time the Giallorossi finished second in the Italian League.
