The goal in Barcelona is everyone’s thing

After another victory against him Betis this Saturday (0-5) Barcelona continues to be the undisputed leader of the First Iberdrola. A win each day, those of Lluís CortésUnbeaten so far, they have no rival in this league as the figures show. 12 of 12 points added in the four games played so far and a scandalous goal balance that reflects the superiority of the Catalan team over the rest of the teams in the Iberdrola League. The blaugranas have scored a total of 21 goals in four matchdays, far from the Athletic Club, the next in the list of scorers, with only seven goals.

It is also surprising how distributed these goals are. Lluís Cortés has up to eleven different scorers in just four days. Alexia and Aitana, with three targets, are the most prolific in attack, along with Mariona, Martens, Hansen and Oshoala, which add two more goals each. Hamraoui, Jenni Hermoso, Losada, Bruna and Patri Guijarro, complete the ranking with one more target.

Undefeated

Barça is the most successful team in the League with 21 goals and there has been no team capable of scoring

The statistics reflect that the strength of this Barcelona is not in a single figure, but in their understanding as a team. With a squad with very few changes, Lluís Cortés’s team works as a seamless block where all the pieces play by heart. Everyone knows what to do and how to move, something that is difficult to fight in a League in which every season the teams renew practically the entire block of footballers.

On the other hand, Barcelona has not conceded a single goal in the four games that have been played to date, being the only team in the category unbeaten. The loss of Sandra Paños, with an injury to the hamstring in the right leg after the first day of the League, was not a problem for the Catalan team, which, with the young Cata Coll under sticks, has continued to be insurmountable.

At 19 years old, the Balearic goalkeeper signed last year by Barcelona and rescued this summer from her loan at Sevilla, is one of the promises under the stick. Under-17 world and European champion and under-20 world runner-up, Cata is making the most of the great opportunity she has before her with the withdrawal of Paños. He has not conceded a goal in the three league games in which the Blaugrana goal has defended, nor in the Cup semi-final against Sevilla, showing that Barcelona’s goal is still well protected.
