Bayern Munich’s footballers won the direct battle for first place in the German league at Dortmund 3: 2. He decided to score Leroy Sané. The Czech representative Vladimír Darida contributed to the triumph of Hertha Berlin 3: 0 in Augsburg. Goalkeeper Tomáš Koubek and defender Marek Suchý remained only on the bench of the home team.
The offensive first half of the Dortmund-Bayern match brought several chances on both sides, but the goals fell at the very end of the opening act. The home keeper was stunned 45 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by David Reba and dived in the wrong direction.
Defenders of the title, who finished without injured key midfielder Joshua Kimmich, turned the match around in the 48th minute. Darida was not missing in the opening eleven or in the seventh league match of the season and helped his team end the five-match waiting to win. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 44th minute, and after a change of sides, Dodi Lukebakio and Krzysztof Piatek were added.
Leipzig defeated Freiburg 3-0 at home and partially corrected the first defeat of the season from the last round against Mönchengladbach. The goals of Ibrahim Konatý, Captain Marcel Sabitzer and Angeliň secured the fifth league win for Julian Nagelsmann’s charges.
Even after the mutual match, Mainz and Schalke remain without a victory, the duel of the last two units of the table ended 2: 2. Mainz is waiting for eight matches for the Bundesliga win, Schalke even 23 matches.
