The footballers will start next year with three qualifying matches in March

Czech footballers will enter next year in March with the first three matches of qualification for advancing to the 2022 World Cup, the national team manager Libor Sionko said on the FACR website.

As in October and November this year, an unusually three instead of the traditional two matches will be played in March and September next year’s national team.

“We will have three sharp matches of the World Cup qualification in March, which will be very important. It will be difficult for the players and the organization. The same regime will be in September,” said Sionko. Opponents for the qualification will be recognized by the charges of coach Jaroslav Šilhavý on December 7, during the draw they will be in the third performance basket.

In the summer, the national championship awaits the national team, which was postponed from this summer due to the covidu-19 pandemic. The team will prepare for the championship at a campsite in South Tyrol in northern Italy. He will live in the Silena hotel complex, where he planned to prepare this year and which he will have for himself due to the coronavirus situation.

“We have prepared a camp in Italy, which is paid for by our commercial partner Ski- & holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal and which will offer us great training opportunities. We will find everything we need, ideal conditions and the necessary peace,” said Sionko. “And then there will be the Euro. We will see what the measures will apply regarding coronavirus. I would very much like the European Championship to be with the fans in the stadium,” added the former national midfielder.

UEFA still believes that the tournament will be able to take place as planned in 12 countries. “So far we have such information that the Euro should be played in its original format. But at this time you never know what tomorrow will be. I think UEFA is still mapping out the possibilities of playing the Euro as safely as possible. Changes may happen, but it “It’s all a matter for UEFA. We might have to react adequately,” said Sionko, who is preparing for the last two matches with this year’s national team in Pilsen – on Sunday in the League of Nations with Israel and three days later there with Slovakia.

After the restart of the national team matches, the Czech team did not avoid problems with coronavirus. In September, after winning 3: 1 in Slovakia, the original team had to be disbanded due to two people infected in the implementation team. One of them was Sionko.

A fast-paced new team set up against Scotland and lost 1: 2 after the fight. In October, seven players and coach Šilhavý gradually dropped out during the meeting, and now, before Wednesday’s preparatory match in Germany, David Pavelka and Tomáš Pekhart, who had a negative test.

“Probably the worst was in September during our first autumn meeting. We had two positive cases including me and the meeting was dissolved because of that. So far I think it could have been different. Today we see that nothing like this happens, even if the teams have more positive cases, “said Sionko.

“At that time, disproportionate hysteria broke out. Maybe because there was no experience in Czech sport and it was new to everyone. Now we can see that it really affects everyone and the disaster should not be turned into it,” added Sionko.

However, according to him, this does not mean that the representation should not have the strictest possible measures. “I dare say that we have one of the strictest regimes in Europe. For example, I don’t know of anyone who would lock a player in quarantine rooms at the beginning of a meeting before the results of the first covid tests come. Voluntarily we significantly reduce preparation time before matches “he stated.

“We follow all the measures from UEFA and the Czech authorities, and we also add our own. Nevertheless, there is no key to solve it 100%. We would have to close the players and the implementation team a week before the meeting to be sure.
