The Belgian football federation has launched a podcast channel

The Royal Belgian Football Union (RBFA) has launched a podcast channel, RBFA Talks, it announced Thursday. A first series in five episodes will be broadcast, looking back on the 125 years of Belgian football history and the composition of the team of the century.

Legends of Belgian football must indeed compose their ideal team, baptized “125 Years Icons Team”, in collaboration with the federation, former international players and specialists of the round ball.

“The podcast is a medium that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year and which, due to its format, allows for many topics to be addressed in depth. This allows us to footballistically educate a varied public, which is interested in sport and football, in the broadest possible sense, ”explained Manu Leroy, marketing and communications director of the Belgian Union in the press release sent on Thursday. “Through RBFA Talks, we also want to shine a light on discrimination in its various forms in the world of football, as well as women’s football, for example, because we believe that is one of our missions. These two subjects will be discussed during the first half of 2021 ”.

The first series will focus on the 125 years of Belgian football. “For the first episode devoted to goalkeepers, RBFA Talks will receive ex-international player Christian Piot (73). The following week, in the second episode, the former defender and current assistant coach of our national U19 team, Eric Van Meir (52 years old), will come and present his point of view on the legendary defenders, ”revealed the RBFA.
