While the “bubble” of the National Basketball League was suspended provisionally, the Argentine team will play next week through the “window” of qualifying for the AmeriCup 2022.
Argentina will face Chile on Friday, November 27 (at 9 p.m.) and on Saturday, November 28 (at 10:10 p.m.) at the Obras Sanitarias stadium. Both games will be televised on TyC Sports.
Coach Gabriel Piccato, who occupies the place in the selection while Sergio Hernández leads Zaragoza of Spain, summoned 15 players to be available for both games.
Among those mentioned are the Cordovan Franco Baralle (Quimsa), José Vildoza (San Lorenzo) and José Saiz (San Martín de Corrientes), plus the Pampean forward from Athens Leo Lema, the Instituto scorer Martín Cuello and the Bonarense shooter based in Córdoba Leonel Schattmann (Boca).
Given the epidemiological situation and with the flexibility of FIBA to introduce modifications among the 12 chosen during the previous and between matches, the coach decided to concentrate 15 players on a date to be confirmed.
