Sheffield Wednesday continues its search for a new manager.
The owls released Garry Monk on Monday evening. Wednesday released a statement stating: “Sheffield Wednesday terminated the contracts of manager Garry Monk and his staff with immediate effect.
“Monk joined the Owls in September 2019 and has overseen 58 games since then.”
Monk was in office for a total of 14 months.
Attention has now turned to who will be the next man on the hotseat and we will have the latest information as bets on Tony Pulis to replace Monk are on hold at Hillsborough.
It is expected that the issue will be when, and not if, Pulis will be appointed.
