Shawn Kemp gives his opinion on the Jordan / LeBron debates and current game / 90’s game

Owner of a shop where you can legally get cannabis in Seattle, Shawn Kemp recently appeared on ‘The Dab Roast’ on YouTube. The concept: participate in a “tasting” of several cannabis samples while answering a few questions. And the Reign Man did not escape the eternal Jordan vs LeBron debate:

” – I will say Michael Jordan. LeBron James did great things, but Michael only won.

– Can LeBron still do something to outdo Jordan?

– No. Simply because out of his 6 Finals played he has won 6 times. There are players like me who never won when they were very good. There are guys that I saw winning titles, good players, but they also had a good team around them. Jordan had Scottie Pippen, but without Michael, the Bulls weren’t going to win. It came from him. I wasn’t Michael Jordan’s biggest fan when I was playing, I was the guy who did anything to piss him off on the pitch, and it’s not that we didn’t like him, but we wanted this challenge. This is Gary (Payton) who was defending on Jordan and I did everything to warm him up, that he was really upset before the games, I left little words in the locker room, I whispered things in his ear… “

As for the comparison between today’s game and that of the 90s, no “it was better before” for the six-time All-Star now 50 years old.

“You do what the rules allow you to do. Sometimes people seeing the game today in the NBA say it’s not as good, but I think the players are very good today. You can’t play as physical as you did in the 90s, but the players are very good. I have a lot of respect for guys like LeBron and Kevin Durant. The talent in the NBA has not changed, it has only progressed. Shawn Kemp
