Selected groups: Vivint Houston Open

Dustin Johnson, Tyrrell Hatton and Adam Scott
• Johnson and Scott return for the first time after battling COVID-19 to reach their peak form quickly.
• FedExCup Champion Johnson was third at the 2016 Vivint Houston Open and T4 in 2013. The current form line is T6-Win-P2-Win-T2.
• Scott is a former champion who won in 2007 and enjoyed great success in Texas. He won the so called Texas Slam by also winning the Valero Texas Open and AT&T Byron Nelson.
• Hatton recently won the BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour before finishing third at THE CJ CUP @ SHADOW CREEK. In his last two TOUR starts the average was 65 on Thursday, 68 on Friday and 65.5 on Sunday, but 74.5 in the third round.

Phil Mickelson, Jason Day, Viktor Hovland,
• Mickelson could have taken a third straight win at PGA TOUR Champions this week but chose to test his game against the best players in a tournament he won in 2011.
• Day is a 12-time TOUR winner looking to bounce back from a neck injury that knocked him out of the finals at THE CJ CUP @ SHADOW CREEK.
• Hovland is a former US amateur champion aiming for a second TOUR win. Already two top 15 this season.

Lanto Griffin, Brooks Koepka and Jordan Spieth
• Defending champion Griffin returns to his youngest form after finishing T7 at the CJ CUP @ SHADOW CREEK and T11 at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP in Sherwood.
• Koepka was Tom Doak’s player advisor on the redesign of Memorial Park Golf Course, trying to shake off the rust of injuries.
• Spieth is from Texas and has had a T2 and T3 result in Houston for the past few years. The eleven-time TOUR winner wants to triumph for the first time since 2017.

Brian Gay, Sergio Garcia and Tony Finau
• The 48-year-old gay took a fifth TOUR win at the Bermuda Championship last week, his first since 2013.
• Garcia broke a TOUR winning streak with his success at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
• Finau opened the season with T8 at the US Open and then returned from the COVID-19 fight with T11 at ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP.
