Scribbling! The Italian national team is now filled with 28 players from 41, Juventus Out players

Squad Italy for the match UEFA Nations League against Poland and Bosnia-Herzegovina has been reduced from 41 to just 28 players.

Roberto Mancini has caused controversy when calling up 41 players for three games on international duty, including Wednesday’s 4-0 friendly win over Estonia.

Over the past few days, players have left due to injuries, COVID-19 tests or some self-isolating and not given clear time to play.

The latest players to be dropped from the squad are Cristiano Biraghi, Gaetano Castrovilli, Federico Chiesa, Ciro Immobile and Leonardo Bonucci who have all been sent back to their clubs or told not to travel.

In fact, only 27 remained out of the original 41, as Udinese’s Stefano Okaka was added later to fill in the blanks.
