reduced to ten for a half, the Lyonnais hold a draw against Lille

Lyon snatched the point of the draw in Lille (1-1), at the conclusion of the ninth day of Ligue 1.

The Lyonnais, however, suffered during almost the entire meeting. But they were the ones who got the best opportunity at the start of the match. Well launched in depth by Aouar, Toko Ekambi was undoubtedly hampered by his teammate Kadewere when he appeared alone against Mike Maignan. The Lyon striker tried to hit hard, but lost his duel (0-0, 21st minute). In the process, on against Lille, Bamba perfectly served by Yilmaz at the entrance to the area adjusted Lopes to open the scoring (1-0, 22nd).

Lyon finally equalized on a somewhat confused action. Well found at the far post, Aouar had a bit of luck on his shot which seemed to leave far from Maignan’s goal, but which found Celik on his path. Unfortunate, the Lille side propelled the ball deep into his own net (1-1, 41st).

Upon returning from the locker room, the Lyonnais did not make it easy for themselves with the expulsion of Marcelo for a second yellow card (48th). The Lille waves then surged, but neither Bamba (61st), nor Araujo (66th), nor Yazici (69th and 71st), nor the many centers which have never found a taker, have deceived the vigilance of Anthony Lopes .

Thanks to this draw, Lyon retains its sixth place in the standings. The Lyonnais remain on a series of six games without defeat (two wins and four draws) and are four points behind Rennes, third and seven over Paris, first.

The Parisians are the real beneficiaries of the draw of the evening. Thomas Tuchel’s men take sole control of the championship for the first time this season. Lille, for its part, is now only second with two points behind. Lille, however, will not have much time to analyze this meeting, since they must go to Milan, leader of the Italian championship, from Thursday on behalf of the third day of the Europa League, before moving to Brest ( 14th), next Sunday.
