Real Madrid & PSG rumors strengthen, Juventus ensures Cristiano Ronaldo survives

The Juventus director explained Ronaldo’s current status after being rumored to be leaving at the end of the season.

Juventus director Fabio Paratici ensures Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains in Turin despite recent reports linking his return to Real Madrid to the issue of a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldo is currently entering his third season at Juventus after joining from Madrid in the summer of 2018. Despite his success Scudetto in their first two seasons, Ronaldo and Juve were still not in the Champions League.

The failure in Europe has made Juventus reportedly ready to sell him next summer. Media in Italy reported that Juve was overwhelmed by paying Ronaldo’s exorbitant salary in the midst of the financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ronaldo is also rumored to want comeback sensationalist to Madrid, while PSG is another potential destination. In the midst of the news of Ronaldo’s departure, Paratici emphasized that the Portuguese superstar was not going anywhere.

“I can assure you that the future of Cristiano Ronaldo is here at Juventus,” Paratici said DAZN.

“We don’t pay much attention to the transfer rumors. There is a lot of news circulating every day,” he said.

Ronaldo, 35, has scored 73 goals in 95 appearances so far Bianconeri in all competitions. Most recently, he bought up all of his team’s 2-0 win over Cagliari on Saturday (21/11).

Apart from Ronaldo, another Juventus player who is rumored to be leaving is Paulo Dybala. The lack of playing minutes at the start of the 2020/21 season made Dybala’s future in Turin starting to be in doubt. Against Cagliari yesterday, Dybala was back on the bench by coach Andrea Pirlo.

Paratici explained that Dybala is currently still in the process of returning to his best performance. “Dybala is a great player and he always wants to be a protagonist,” he continued.

“He is a little unlucky, because he has contracted the virus since the international break. But now he has been training regularly. Let’s hope he can be fit and return to the old Dybala,” added Paratici.
