English football is in mourning this Sunday, November 15. The clubs Liverpool and Tottenham have announced the death of Ray Clemence. The former goalkeeper, who wore the Reds shirt more than 650 times and that of the Spurs more than 300 times, as well as that of the England team 61 times between the 1960s and 1980s, died in the age 72. FC Liverpool relayed a statement from the family of the former player: “Ray Clemence died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. After fighting so vigorously for so long, he is now at peace and no longer in pain. In 2005, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. During his career, Ray Clemence notably won the first three Champions Leagues in Liverpool history (1977, 1978 and 1981).
