Rams’ Sean McVay sends a clear message to Jared Goff amid revenue problems

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay pointed out Jared Goff’s inconsistency in Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Goff finished the game 19-of-31 with 198 yards, two interceptions, and a lost fumble. He didn’t throw a touchdown pass. Los Angeles lost to San Francisco 23-20.

“You did a good job. You give them credit. They deserve their respect, but in many cases just plain execution, ”said McVay. “People we count on need to be able to play games that didn’t make it in difficult moments. These are things that we need to be the team we are capable of. We need people who can move up in certain places.

“It takes care of football. Our quarterback needs to take better care of football, ”he added.

McVay was asked what Goff needs to do better to take care of the soccer ball while the team is driving to the home track.

“Every piece I’ve talked about is an individual situation. But it could be holding two hands on the ball or understanding that if someone is swimming around you, you can’t just throw them away if you can’t see where you are going and trust your guys to be able to part . But overall it always has to be better if you turn it around as often as we and he do. He can do it but we have to do it, ”said McVay.
