PSSI’s Attitude After Bagus Kahfi Failed to Europe

Jakarta

PSSI’s Technical Director, Indra Sjafri, also commented on Amiruddin Bagus Kahfi Alfikri’s failure to go to Europe. Miscommunication between the two parties is the main cause.

Bagus failed to realize his dream of a career in Europe. The certainty was after his club, Barito Putera, did not issue a letter of release to FC Utrecht until the deadline was 27 November.

Bagus’s case then became a public spotlight because Barito was deemed not to support his athletes developing abroad.

PSSI, the parent of the highest football federation in Indonesia, has also been aware of the case. They then conducted mediation in accordance with the direction of the PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan to resolve the misunderstanding.

“This is due to PSSI’s obligation to return players to their clubs and Bagus and his parents held talks with Barito Putera to improve communication. This has been done by Bagus Kahfi,” said Indra on the PSSI website.

“The matter of whether Bagus Kahfi is allowed to move or not is a professional matter for the club. We cannot intervene in the contract between the player and the club, in this case Barito Putera and we cannot go too deep into this matter. We just want everything to run smoothly and smoothly,” he said. .

Learning from Bagus’s case, Indra also gave advice to Mola TV to pay attention to the process of channeling players properly.

It is known that Bagus’s process of being attracted by European clubs could not be separated from the role of Dennis Wise, Technical Director of Garuda Select and Mola TV. The Garuda Select is a collaborative program carried out by Mola TV with PSSI with the aim of providing the best training for Indonesian players in the UK for six months.

“Mola TV in this case also finds a way for Indonesian players to compete in European clubs. Mola TV, if you really want to distribute, must communicate well with the club and it is not enough just to talk to the players or the parents of the players concerned,” said the former U-national team coach. 19 and the U-23.

He also appealed to players and clubs to review his contract. “If players feel they are serious about their career and believe they have a chance to play in Europe, then include that in their contract clause with the club.”

Bagus stole the show with his actions in England. Her adventure in Garuda Select Volume II can be watched on Mola TV via this link.
