PSG: Icardi and Kean still away from the group

PSG resumed training on Tuesday at the Camp des Loges and began the final stretch of their preparation for the trip to Monaco on Friday in Ligue 1, and the reception of Leipzig on Wednesday in the Champions League. With as much good as bad news for Thomas Tuchel.

Marco Verratti fully recovered from his thigh injury contracted in early October and took part in the collective session, as scheduled in the medical staff’s agenda. Just like Pablo Sarabia, absent against Rennes (3-0) before the international break due to muscle pain.

On the other hand, Tuchel will wait a bit before finding Mauro Icardi and Moise Kean. The Argentinian, victim of a twisted knee, and the Italian, victim of a contusion to the right knee, remained apart this Tuesday afternoon in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The first must resume collective sessions this week but his participation in the meeting in Monaco remains uncertain. Similar situation for the second named.

As for Neymar, if he has returned to Paris since Sunday and his presence against Monaco is hoped for by all, he is not yet active with the Parisian group. His gradual recovery from his adductor injury will continue throughout the week. Idrissa Gueye (ischios), Thilo Kehrer (pubalgia) and Juan Bernat (cruciate ligament of the knee) are the only official packages for Friday.
