NFL: Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford on COVID-19 list

Wednesday, Nov 4, 2020. 4:11 PM

The Detroit Lions announced on Wednesday that quarterback Matthew Stafford’s name has been placed on the team’s COVID-19 roster.

It is therefore not known whether Stafford himself contracted the coronavirus, or whether he had instead been in contact with a contagious individual in the past few days.

The veteran quarterback wasn’t in Lions practice this afternoon. Rather, it was Chase Daniel and David Blough who shared the rehearsals with the first offensive unit.

The Lions, who are 3-4, will travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings there this Sunday.
