Anthony Edwards, who averaged 19 points per game as a newcomer to Georgia, is on his way to the Minnesota Timberwolves # 1 overall.
Despite field visits until the decision time, the Timberwolves stayed on course and picked Edwards to play alongside D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns.
In the second pick, the Golden State Warriors grabbed the great man James Wiseman before Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Jordan grabbed LaMelo Ball with the third pick.

Memphis’ Wiseman was seen as the obvious choice for Golden State if They didn’t swap choices and despite Klay Thompson’s injury, the Warriors decided to make it big.
After spending last season in the NBL, Ball, seen as a # 1 chance for the overall standings, fell to the Hornets – an organization in need of some star power. The 19-year-old averaged 17 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 31.2 minutes in 12 games for the Illawarra Hawks.
The Chicago Bulls, who reportedly tried to move up to # 2, elected Patrick Williams at four before the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Isaac Okoro with the fifth overall win.
Onyeka Okongwu landed in 6th place with the Atlanta Hawks, while the Detroit Pistons picked up Euro-interested Killian Hayes with the seventh selection.
The New York Knicks drafted Obi Toppin – another striker – with the eighth overall win. Israel’s Deni Avdija fell to Washington before Jalen Smith landed in Phoenix to round out the top ten.
