Morelos will have a badminton team at the 2020 CONADE Nationals

The people of Morelos secured single, double and mixed tickets.

The general director of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos (INDEM), Osiris Pasos Herrera, announced that after attending the National Badminton Qualifier, four Morelos are part of the selection that will go to Monterrey, Nuevo in April. León, looking to get on the podium of the next “National CONADE (National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports)” games.
He commented that it is the sub 15 category, which Angela Sofía Pérez classified in the single category after beating her peers from Tamaulipas and Quintana Roo; While in the women’s doubles category, Regina Gómez and Luna Mazón defeated representatives of the same entities in the repechage.
Similarly, in mixed pairs, Angela Sofía herself, along with Carlos de la Sierra, achieved their classification, standing out against Veracruz and San Luis.
Osiris Pasos explained that some disciplines manage their pass to the “Conade Nationals” with a National Qualifying Championship, such is the case of badminton, he now develops the under 19 competition in the city of Monterrey, which is why INDEM supported the State Association of the specialty with lodging expenses.
For her part, badminton player Ángela Pérez stressed that she will prepare hard throughout the month of March to give her best effort in the national fair to be held from April 14 to 23 and be able to get a medal for Morelos, which would be historic.
Finally, Pasos Herrera said that INDEM facilitated the Centennial Sports Unit so that the selected ones, residents of Cuernavaca and Temixco, concentrate to reach the national team in a good way; Likewise, uniforms, transportation, lodging and meals will be provided during the competitions.
