Maradona’s Private Doctor Raided for Accidental Murder

BUENOS AIRES, KOMPAS.com – Diego Maradona’s personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, was investigated on Sunday (29/11/2020) for the alleged accidental murder of the Argentine legend.

The investigation was launched four days after Maradona died, prosecutors reported in San Isidro near Buenos Aires.

The investigation was sparked by concerns raised by three of Maradona’s daughters, Dalma, Giannina and Jana, over heart care that her father received at her home in Tigre, north of Buenos Aires, court sources said.

“Our investigation is ongoing, we are talking with witnesses including members of (Maradona) ‘s family,” said a source close to the investigation in San Isidro.

Maradona then returned to his home in Tigre for more medical treatment.

The Napoli legend died of a heart attack on Wednesday (11/25/2020) local time, and was buried the next day in the cemetery of Jardin de Paz, a suburb of the Argentine capital.
