Koeman file for criticism of the VAR after the classic penalty

The RFEF Competition Committee has decided to open a disciplinary file against Ronald Koeman for the coach’s criticism From Barcelona to the operation of the VAR in Spain. After, after reviewing the images, Martínez Munuera pointed out a penalty from Lenglet to Ramos and the Madrid defender scored the 1-2. “Why is VAR always against Barça?”, The Dutch coach complained in the press room.

According to the sanction regulations, Koeman can be sanctioned between four and 12 games. This is stipulated in article 100 bis of the RFEF Disciplinary Code for making statements “by which question the honesty and impartiality of any member of the arbitration group or the organs of the RFEF ”. If it is about players or coaches, as is the case of the classic, the punishment can go from four to 12 games suspension and the amount of the fine ranges from 601 euros to 3,005 euros.

In the press room, Koeman was asked about his conversation at the end of the meeting with referee Martínez Munuera and the Barça coach did not bite his tongue. “I don’t understand the referee’s decision. The VAR only appears when decisions have to be made against Barcelona. Decisions are always against us. He tells me it’s a penalty. I told the referee that I hope they can explain to me one day how VAR works in Spain, because we have been here for five days and VAR has always been against Barcelona. And he gave examples: “However, he did not enter the penalty play against Messi against Sevilla or two reds for Getafe”, he listed. Why is the VAR always against us? ”, He summarized the criticism.

Koeman was not the only Barça player outraged by the refereeing performance and he is not the only one who has ended up on file. The manager Xavier Vilajoana, now out of the club after the resignation of the entire board of Josep Maria Bartomeu, will also have a report open for his tweet. “This is a fucking scandal. Munuera, you can go shit … “he wrote in his account.

The report to Koeman will take three or four weeks to resolve and to know if the technician is sanctioned

The message was published for several hours but finally Vilajoana deleted it and apologized. That has not exempted him from being the subject of an investigation.
