Klopp Talks About Liverpool Defender Crisis: Okezone Ball

LIVERPOOL – Jurgen Klopp has spoken out regarding the central defender crisis that is currently hitting Liverpool. He explained that injury is an agreement between the player and the coach.

Liverpool lacking a center-back after Virgin van Dijk was seriously injured after being tackled two feet by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. As a result, Van Dijk sustained a knee ligament injury and had to be sidelined for at least nine months or until the end of the season.

Liverpool also lost Fabinho, who suffered a hamstring injury. The Brazilian midfielder was Van Dijk’s coating before stepping aside.

Klopp also lost to Joe Gomez. The 23-year-old player injured his knee while following training with the England national team and is certain to miss all Premier League matches 2020-2021.

Most recently, Liverpool lost their burning young defender, Rhys Williams. The 19-year-old defender suffered a week’s injury while defending the England U-21 national team. Klopp also explained the current hurricane situation for his team’s injury.

“My English is not good enough to describe exactly what is going through my mind,” he said when asked when he received the news about Gomez’s injury, quoting Metro, Friday (20/11/2020).

“My head of physiotherapy told me and everyone believed it was serious. Injuries are part of the deal for the players and the coach. How it happened is something we are always worried about. “
