Diogo Jota’s rising performance means Liverpool have two good options in attack. Manchester City can be dizzy.
Jota has been impressive so far, contributing seven goals from 10 appearances in all competitions. He has six goals in the last four games, incl hat-trick against Atalanta in the middle of last week.
The 23-year-old striker has become an oasis for Liverpool amidst Roberto Firmino’s fading. Firmino, who was originally the first choice, instead only scored one goal and two assists from 11 appearances in all competitions.
Jota’s jump is a big blessing for Liverpool, because now he has two options that can be said to be equally good on the front lines. Apart from the contribution that is still quite unequal, both Jota and Firmino have given their respective dimensions to Liverpool’s game.
Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock thinks Juergen Klopp can play in the match against Manchester City at the Etihad, Sunday (8/11/2020) evening WIB. Man City can be made guessing about the trio Liverpool are playing and that will affect how they defend.
